TENDER DOCUMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PERIMETER WALL AT KENYA COAST NATIONAL POLYTECHNIC KWALE CAMPUS

1. Kenya Coast National Polytechnic has received financing from the World Bank toward the
cost of the East Africa Skills For Transformation and Regional Integration Project
(EASTRIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracti
for Proposed Construction of perimeter wall at Kenya Coast National Polytechnic Kwale Campus
2. Kenya Coast National Polytechnic now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for
Construction of the wall at KCNP kwale Campus.
3. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for
Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers”
of July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”), and revised November 2020 (4th edition), and is
open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Kenya Coast National
Polytechnic, Procurement Officer, through the email procurement@kenyacoastpoly.ac.ke
or info@kenyacoastpoly.ac.ke and inspect the bidding document during office hours i.e.
0800 to 1700 hours at the address given below.
5. The bidding document in English may be obtained by interested eligible Bidders at the
address below during official working hours i.e. 800hours to 1700hours or download the
bidding documents free of charge from www.kenyacoastpoly.ac.ke or www.worldbank.org
- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 15th May 2026 at 2.00pm local
time. Electronic Bidding Will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be
publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who
chooses to attend at the Polytechnic Procurement Boardroom on 15th May 2026 at 2.00pm Local time. -
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Kenya shillings one million (KES.1,000,000)
- Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose
information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award
Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding
