INVITATION TO TENDER
PROVISION OF FOUR (4) MONTHS MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER FOR GARISSA UNIVERSITY STAFF AND COUNCIL MEMBERS

GARISSA UNIVERSITY invites sealed tenders for the provision of Four (4) Months Medical Insurance Cover
for Garissa University staff and council members
1. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using standardized tender
documents and is open to all qualified and interested medical service Insurance companies as
approved by Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA)
2. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Document(s) during office hours from 8.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m at Supply Chain Department.
Tender documents can be accessed from the website procurement@gau.ac.ke
3. A complete set of tender documents may be obtained electronically free of charge. Tenderers
downloading from a designated website shall advise the Procuring Entity that they have
downloaded the tender documents giving full contact address of the tenderer using the
following email address procurement@gau.ac.ke
4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.gau.ac.ke
or www.tenders.go.ke .Tenderers who download the tender document must forward the
particulars immediately to procurement@gau.ac.ke to facilitate any further clarification or
addendum.
5. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of Kshs.90,000/-in form of bank
guarantee or PPRA approved list of insurance companies and must be valid for 150 days after
the date of tender opening.
6. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
7. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 24th March, 2025
at 10.00 a.m. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
- Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the
Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below. - The quoted amount should be inclusive of 0.03% capacity building levy payable to
Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) - Late tenders will be rejected.
