INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER FOR PROPOSED INTEGRATION OF KEMSA WAREHOUSES AT EMBAKASI, NAIROBI – ROOFING WORKS
TENDER NO: KEMSA-ONT02-2025/2026
1. The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority invites sealed tenders for the demolition of roofing
and construction of new specialized roofing at KEMSA, Embakasi.
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method (National) using a standardized
tender document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours [0900 to 1600 hours] at the address given below: –

4. Completed serialized/paginated bidding documents ONE ORIGINAL and A COPY in
plain sealed envelopes clearly marked on top with the Tender Number and Description and
accompanied by an ORIGINAL BID SECURITY of an amount of KES.10,500,000.00
(Kenya Shillings Ten Million, Five Hundred Thousand Only) or equivalent in a freely
convertible currency from Commercial Banks or Insurance Companies approved by the
Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) and (Listed by Public Procurement Regulatory
Authority). Electronic tender security is acceptable and shall be authenticated through the
use of the QR scanner (In Accordance to PPRA CIRCULAR NO. 01/2023) and should be
addressed to:

And MUST BE DEPOSITED in the Tender Box No. 1 marked GOK/ World Bank at the
Reception on the Ground Floor KEMSA, National Supply Chain Centre, Embakasi Off
Airport North Road, Nairobi on or before 14TH OCTOBER, 2025.
5. Bids will be opened promptly in public and in the presence of Bidders and their
representatives who choose to attend in the opening at KEMSA bids’ opening conference
Hall at 10:00am
6. Late bids, Electronic Bids, Bids not opened in and not read out in public at the bid
opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
7. There will be a PRE BID CONFERENCE which shall be held on THURSDAY, 9TH
OCTOBER, 2025 at 10:00am at KEMSA’s Tender Opening Hall, Office Block -Ground
Floor, National Supply Chain Centre, Embakasi Off Airport North Road, Nairobi, Kenya.
8. Tenderers must register their bid documents at the Procurement Office or via email at
procurement.programs@kemsa.co.ke (Refer to registration form in the tender document)
to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
9. Tenders shall remain valid for Two Hundred and Ten days (210) days from the date of
opening of tenders.
10. All Tenders must be accompanied by an Original Tender Security of KES.10,500,000.00 or
equivalent in a freely convertible currency from Commercial Banks or Insurance Companies
Approved by The Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) and listed by The Public
Procurement Regulatory Authority. Electronic tender securities are acceptable and shall be
authenticated through the use of the QR scanner (In Accordance to PPRA CIRCULAR NO.
01/2023) – The original Tender Security must be valid for 240 days from date of tender opening
