Self Help Africa [SHA] is an International Non-Governmental Organization [NGO] that promotes and implements long-term rural development projects in Africa with over 20 years of experience working with rural communities, working with local communities in 9 Africa countries with a vision of a resilient rural Africa where smallholder farmers and their families prosper and thrive.

Project Brief

The European Commission funded Self Help Africa to implement a five years program dubbed Strengthening the competitiveness of cassava value chain in Kenya. The program is being implemented in 6 counties namely, Kilifi, Migori, Kisumu, Homabay, Busia and Siaya. The programme has four deliverables with the third one seeking to increase access to credit for at least 12,000 of cassava farmers through financial intermediaries.

SHA is hereby inviting qualified Financial Intermediaries to express interest in offering financial services to cassava value chain farmers, seed entrepreneurs and MSMEs [traders, groups, Aggregation Centers and Cooperatives].
