INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT FOR CARRYING OUT ANNUAL ENVIRONMENTAL AUDITS FOR PROJECTS UNDER THE KENYA TOWNS SUSTAINABLE WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION PROGRAMME –
INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT
- The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received a loan from the African Development Fund towards the cost of Kenya Towns Sustainable Water and Sanitation Program (KTSWSSP) and intends to apply part of the agreed amount to payments for an Individual Consultant to undertake Consultancy services for annual environmental audits for the projects under the KTSWSSP
- The services will include but not limited to: –
- i)Consultancy services for carrying out annual environmental audits for all the projects under the Tana and Northern cluster
- Tana Water Works Development Agency (TWWDA) now invites eligible Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested Individual Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, etc.] The Consultant will have been actively involved in Environmental Audit for least 10 years and they must have the following Essential Skills& Competencies:
- i)At least a Master’s degree in Environmental Science / Engineering/ Planning;
- ii)A Minimum of 10 [ten] years relevant professional experience particularly in Environmental Management of Infrastructure Projects, post disaster reconstruction and rehabilitation;
iii) Registered as a NEMA Lead Expert
- iv)Demonstrated experience in Environmental Impact Assessments and development of risk management instruments, especially addressing impacts on civil works projects;
- v)Experience in conducting similar audit and possess an auditor certification for ISO, and/or relevant environmental management systems.
- Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s: “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations” dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org . The Borrower is under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest
