MARANDA HIGH SCHOOL 

TENDER ADVERTISEMENT

The Ministry of Education [State Department for Basic Education] through the BOM Maranda High School intends to carry out the following within the school compound on a full contract basis:

SC/M0E/SCMS/MHS/001/2022 – 2023 Construction to completion of a Multipurpose Hall 2nd December, 2022
SC/M0E/SCMS/MHS/002/2022 – 2023 Completion of Waste Water Lagoon 2nd December, 2022

In this regard, the BOM, therefore, do hereby invite prospective, eligible and interested contractors to participate in the bidding process for the aforesaid construction works. Only those who meet the following requirements will be considered;

  1. i)The tender is signed by the person with power of attorney, without material deviation, reservation or omission
  2. ii)There is letter granting power of attorney to sign the contract,

iii)    Tenderer must be a legally registered entity

  1. iv)if tenderer is a Joint Venture, it must be properly constituted
  2. v)A Valid Tax Compliance Certificate, for Kenyan tenderers. In case of a foreign company, a document equivalent to Kenyan Tax Compliance Certificate
  3. vi)Goods, materials, equipment must be from eligible countries (Countries not considered enemy states to Kenya]

vii)  Foreign tenderer who meets the minimum forty [40%] percent rule of local contributions

viii)  A Tender Security/Bid Bond of Kshs 160,000/= for the Waste Water Lagoon and Kshs 2,850,000/= for the Multi-Purpose Hall

  1. ix)A tenderer who has not participated in more than one tender, except for permitted alternative tenders
  2. x)Tenderer who has not been debarred by PPRA or any other recognized institution
  3. xi)Tenderer which is commercially autonomous Kenyan state owned Enterprise

xii)   Tenderer who has no conflict of interests

xiii)  Tenderer which has met all scope of requirements and specifications without any material deviations, reservations or omissions

xiv) Tenderer which is not insolvent, in receivership, bankrupt or in the process of being wound up

  1. xv)The tender that is valid for the required number of days

xvi) The tenderer who has appropriately filled the Tender Form

xvii)        The tenderer who has adequately filled the Confidential Business Questionnaire and related documents

xviii)       Tenderer who shall have met all other conditions as contained in the Standard. Bidding Document Documents may be inspected and picked from the Chief Principal’s Office upon payment of nonrefundable Kshs 1.000/= and be returned in the Tender Box at the Chief Principal’s Office on or before 2nd December, 2022 at 1400 hours. The opening will follow 30 minutes later in the school boardroom in the presence of bidders and/or their representatives who choose to attend.

Tender documents should be returned in sealed envelopes marked with contract number addressed to:
