CONSULTANCY FOR PHYSICAL ASSET VERIFICATION (CONSULTANCY FIRMS)

Education Development Trust is seeking qualified consultancy firms to provide their best price Proposal/proposal for the item(s) below. If interested, the proposal should be submitted on company letterhead and signed. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions (below) in preparing your proposal.   1. Background

Education Development Trust is an international not-for-profit organisation working to improve education outcomes around the world. We seek to improve education and transitions into work through expert research on what works. Our experts deliver highly contextualised programmes designed to transform education systems, schools, and lives.

Ed Dev Trust, Kenya Office has implemented the Wasichana Wetu Wafaulu (Let Our Girls Succeed) project in two phases: GEC1 (2013-2017) and GEC-T (2017-2023. The project has acquired vast assets which are recorded in the project asset register. In fulfilment of the Ed Dev Trust asset management policy and the funders compliance requirements, an exhaustive record of all fixed and movable assets of the project has to be systematically documented and verified on an annual basis. In view of this, Ed Dev Trust wishes the contract the services of an audit firm to undertake a detailed identification, verification of all the assets within the WWW project areas of operations and updating of the asset register.

  1. Purpose of the consultancy

The overall purpose is to Perform 100% physical verification of all movable assets, asset tagging and updating the asset register with all WWW project assets. The assignment will also involve review of the organisation asset management policy, and practices to inform key recommendations for improvement. The assignment is targeting a group of individual consultants or a firm.

  1. The scope, key tasks, and requirements

The scope covers all assets in the Ed Dev Trust areas of operations, that have been procured during the two phases of the Wasichana Wetu Wafaulu project (GEC1 and GEC-T). These assets are located in eight Counties/locations namely, Turkana (Lodwar, Lokichar Lokori) Tanariver (Hola), Samburu (Wamba), Marsabit, Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, Nairobi. The scope excludes assets transferred to schools or project beneficiaries.

  1. Deliverables and timelines

The expected deliverables are:

  • Inception report
  • A report of the assignment with findings, key risks, issues and recommendations;
  • Presentation of the draft report (using PowerPoint slides) for discussion and feedback
  • A final updated asset register with all relevant information
  • Geo-tagged photos of all identified assets
  1. Consultancy Timelines

Assignment estimated to happen for a month between August and September 2022. Estimated 25 consultancy days.

  1. Evaluation Criteria

The firm that has achieved the highest combined technical (out of 80) and financial (out of 20) score will be eligible to be recommended for award.

Offers will be evaluated based on their responsiveness to the specification, qualifications and experience of the consultant/Firm, location, price, after sale service, delivery time and related criteria.

Submission Deadline

The Proposal/information must be submitted to Education Development Trust no later than 8th , Aug 2022 at 10.00am.

Proposals/information submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

Offer to be submitted electronically only, do not send hardcopy to our offices.

Submit your Proposal/information on company letterhead signed by an authorized person of the company.
