(ELDOWAS) WATER AND SEWERAGE TREATMENT PLANTS
Eldoret Water and Sanitation Co. Ltd (ELDOWAS) is a Water Service Provider serving Eldoret Town and its environs
within Uasin Gishu County. In order to enhance sustainable and affordable water supply and wastewater treatment,
ELDOWAS is planning to carry out a Solarization project for its office facilities, water intakes and treatment
facilities. The project entails equipping the intakes and treatment stations with solar system for generation of solar
energy to run the water treatment process and for lighting offices together with the street lights. The objective of
the project is to cut down the cost of electricity for running the treatment processes by shifting from total reliance
on grid power to solar power. ELDOWAS invites Companies with requisite capabilities and experience in implementing
similar work for an expression of interest (EOI).
Interested bidders shall demonstrate the ability to;
1. Finance, design, build and operationalize the Solar PV System through safe and best construction engineering
practices.
2. Provide and propose suitable financing structures to realize the project to completion within required timelines
to achieve operational efficiency and time value for money.
3. Demonstrate financial capabilities to finance the project up to commissioning stage (full financial guarantee
shall be provided).
4. Be responsible for any permitting requirements pertaining to the implementation of the project.
All bidders shall note the following;
1. Any information provided by the bidder will form the basis of any contract that may be entered into between
ELDOWAS and the bidder pertaining to this EOI.
2. ELDOWAS shall not be liable for or be required to pay any costs, expenses or losses that may be incurred
by the bidders in the preparation of EOI.

The EOI documents made in English shall be placed inside the Tender Box at the Company’s Head office off Kam- pi Somali Road, Eldoret on or before 4th November 2022 at 12.00 p.m. The opening of the bids shall be done immediately in the presence of bidders and/or their representatives who may wish to attend. Late submitted bids shall be rejected. Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification. No payment is required before, during and after the tendering process.
