IGNITE Senior Communications Consultant Recruitment
Background
TechnoServe, a global leader in leveraging business solutions to combat poverty, has been creating sustainable pathways to better futures for over 50 years. Through the Inspiring Good Nutrition Initiatives Through Enterprise (IGNITE) Program, funded by the Gates Foundation, TechnoServe is working with food processors in eight countries to improve large-scale food fortification (LSFF).
At the heart of this effort is the Millers for Nutrition coalition, a global and locally driven initiative designed to coordinate technical assistance and build sustainable models for fortification.
Scope of Work
TechnoServe seeks a Senior Strategic Communications Consultant to revitalize and lead communications for Millers for Nutrition from October 2025 – June 2026. The consultant will:
- Refresh and align the communications strategy with 2025–2026 strategic priorities.
- Strengthen communications infrastructure, coordination, and capacity across teams and partners.
- Lead implementation, content development, and delivery of a proactive communications plan.
- Optimize digital platforms (website & LinkedIn) for reach, engagement, and influence.
Key Deliverables
- Updated communications strategy and action plan.
- Strengthened internal coordination and partner collaboration.
- High-quality, evidence-based storytelling and targeted engagement with millers, donors, policymakers, and partners.
- Refreshed and optimized Millers for Nutrition communications channels.
Consultant Profile
The successful consultant will demonstrate:
- At least 10 years of senior-level communications experience (international development, nutrition, or public health preferred).
- Strong track record in strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and digital communications.
- Proven experience working in multi-country and cross-cultural contexts.
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and project management skills.
- Previous experience with coalitions, industry associations, or multi-stakeholder initiatives is an advantage.
