Preparation of a comprehensive, deliverable master development plan for the electricity distribution network of Kenya Power

Power Africa East Africa Energy Program [EAEP] works to expand affordable and reliable electricity services across the region. The four-year program is focusing on the following major objectives: [1) Optimized power supply, [2] Increased Grid-based power connections [3] Strengthened utilities and other power sector entities and [4] Increased regional power trade.

RTI International leads implementation of this Power Africa coordinated program, a U.S.
Government-led partnership, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development [USAID].

RTI International seeks bids from eligible, qualified, and competent consultancies for preparation of a comprehensive, deliverable master development plan for the electricity distribution network of Kenya Power.

Eligible bidders are required to submit from September 3 to September 13, 2021 via email admin@powerafrica-eaep.org the following mandatory requirements to be issued with the comprehensive request for proposal [RFP] and terms of reference [ToR] for the assignment:

• The bidder’s registration documents.
• The bidder’s business permit/license.
• Applicable tax registration documents.
• The bidder’s current tax compliance certificate.
• The bidder’s company profile. The profile must clearly show the number of years’ experience the bidder has handling similar projects.
• Copies of registration with the relevant professional institutions.

During the period September 3 to September 13,2021, bidders will be issued with the detailed RFP and TOR, deadline for submission of separate financial and technical bids is September 30, 2021, as stipulated in the RFP.

RTI International reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or a part thereof.
