1. KASNEB invites sealed tenders for the PROPOSED UPGRADING OF THE LOW VOLTAGE
(L.V) SWITCH BOARD AND REFURBISHMENT OF THE POWER ROOM AT KASNEB
TOWERS I – W.P. ITEM NO: D1071/NB/NB/2501 JOB NO: 11572A
2. Tendering will be conducted under open National competitive method using a standardized
tender document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours 9.00AM – 4.00PM local time at the address given below.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon
payment of a non- refundable fees of Kenya shillings one thousand (Kshs 1,000) in cash or
Banker’s Cheque and payable to the address given below. Tender documents may be obtained
electronically from the Website(s) www.KASNEB.or.ke. Tender documents obtained
electronically will be free of charge.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website
www.KASNEB.or.ke Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their
particulars immediately to ceo@kasneb.or.ke ,procuretwo@kasneb.or.ke and
francis.okubo@kasneb.or.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
6. The tenderers MUST be registered on the electronic Government Procurement(eGP)
platform. In addition to submission of hard copies, the tenderers shall be required to submit:
a) their tender through the platform.
b) documentary evidence of registration on the platform.
7. Tenders shall be quoted in Kenya Shillings and shall include all applicable costs, taxes and
Levies including the 0.03% Capacity Building Levy.
8. Tenders shall remain valid for 120 days from the date of opening of tenders.
9. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of Shillings One Hundred Thousand
(Sh.100,000) only in the form of a Guarantee from a Bank or an Insurance Company approved
by Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) valid for 30 days beyond the Tender
Validity period.
10. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted using a
numbering machine.
- Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before [as indicated in the
tender advertisement]. Electronic Tenders will also be permitted. - Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
deadline date and times specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the
Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below. - Late tenders will be rejected.
