INVITATION TO TENDER
PROVISION OF CREDIT LIFE INSURANCE COVER FOR MAKUENI COUNTY EMPOWERMENT FUND (MCEF)
NEGOTIATION NO. 2095230-2025/2026
1. The GOVERNMENT OF MAKUENI COUNTY, DEPARTMENT OF GENDER,
CHILDREN, YOUTH, SPORTS AND SOCIAL SERVICES invites sealed tenders for
the provision of Insurance Services for CREDIT LIFE INSURANCE COVER FOR
MAKUENI COUNTY EMPOWERMENT FUND (MCEF) for a period of one (1) year
and may be renewed for another one (1) more year subject to satisfactory performance
(Claims Processing and Management).
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using a standardized
tender document and is open to all Insurance Providers Licensed by the Insurance
Regulatory Authority and eligible to provide the relevant insurance cover business in Kenya.
Tenderers will be allowed to tender for one or more items.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours at the address given below. Tender
documents may be viewed and/or downloaded from the website www.tenders.go.ke,
www.makueni.go.ke or the IFMIS portal www.supplier.treasury.go.ke using the IFMIS
unique negotiation number 2095230 indicated above.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be obtained electronically by interested tenderers
free of charge.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website
www.tenders.go.ke, www.makueni.go.ke or the IFMIS portal www.supplier.treasury.go.ke
using the IFMIS unique negotiation number indicated above. Tenderers who download the
tender document must forward their particulars immediately to cogender@makueni.go.ke to
facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
6. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
7. Completed tenders must be submitted online through IFMIS negotiation number 2095230 to
the address below on or before 23 February, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. Hard copy will not be permitted.
8. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the
Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
9. Late tenders will be rejected.
