INVITATION TO TENDER
PROVISION OF GROUP LIFE INSURANCE COVER FOR THE COUNTY ASSEMBLY OF NYERI MEMBERS (MCA’s), COUNTY ASSEMBLY SERVICE BOARD
MEMBERS (CASB) AND ASSEMBLY STAFF FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2025-2026
County Assembly of Nyeri invites sealed tenders from eligible candidates for Provision of Group Life Insurance
Cover for the County Assembly of Nyeri Members (MCAs), County Assembly Service Board Members (CASB) and
Assembly Staff for the Financial Year 2025-2026: –
1. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using a standardized tender document
and is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
2. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the tender document during office
working hours at the address given below: –

3. A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested bidders from the County Assembly of Nyeri
website www.nyeriassembly.go.ke free of charge and also on Public Procurement Information Portal (PPIP)
website www.tenders.go.ke
4. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of Kenya Shillings Thirty Thousand Only (Kshs 30,000
only) valid for thirty days beyond the tender validity period, in any of the forms below;
i) Cash;
ii) A bank guarantee;
iii) A guarantee by an insurance company registered and licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority
listed by the Authority; or
iv) A guarantee issued by a financial institution approved and licensed by the Central Bank of Kenya
N/B Self-Insurance shall not be allowed
5. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender document submitted (e.g. In the format
1,2,3,4,5) to ensure compliance with section 74(1) of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015.
6. Complete tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 25th March,2026 at 10.00 a.m:

- Tenders that do not fit in the tender box shall be deposited at the Clerk’s office and recorded using the register located
at the Clerk’s Office reception at the County Assembly of Nyeri Block A, first floor.
8.Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above. Tenders will be publicly
opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below. - Late tenders will be rejected.
- The contract period is one year with an option for renewal for a further period of 12 months. Renewal shall be
solely at the discretion of the County Assembly of Nyeri. - The Tender Box is situated at the Entrance of Block A, County Assembly of Nyeri Buildings, Ground Floor,
