REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS FOR A VEHICLE PROVIDER – Breakthrough ACTION

BREAKTHROUGH ACTION TENDER NOVEMBER 2022 

BACKGROUND

Breakthrough ACTION is a cooperative agreement funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to lead its social and behavior change programming around the world. Led by the Johns Hopkins Center for Com­munication Programs (CCP), Breakthrough ACTION partners include Save the Children, ideas42, Think Place, Camber Collec­tive, the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), and Viamo.

To carry out these projects, we need to purchase a car to facilitate the supervision, monitoring and coordination of activities in accord with the project’s scope of work. Breakthrough ACTION Kenya invites qualified companies to submit a quotation for vehicles in accordance with the specifications and other requirements listed below.

2. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

All interested parties must submit a detailed price quo­tation, including the Vehicle Specification Verification form that will be provided to you any time you contact the email address below. In addition, bids must adhere to the following guidelines:

• Validity Period – Bids must remain valid for a period of at least 180 days
• VAT – Quotes to be VAT inclusive and VAT charge clearly shown.
• Visuals – A photo of the vehicle or a stock photo­graph must be included
• Country of Origin – Information regarding the vehi­cle’s country of manufacture must be included
• Payment Terms – Bids must include all payment terms
• Authorization – Bids must be signed and dated by an authorized representative
• Required Documentation – To be eligible, bidders must submit the documentation outlined in 2.1 and 2.2 below.

2.1        Administrative and fiscal documents to be provided:

• A valid certificate of Tax compliance:
• A certificate of company registration:
• A dealer’s license issued by the firm that manu­factured the vehicle and which authorizes you to sell in Kenya.

2.2        Technical and financial documents to be provided:

• Provide a list of authorized service centers in Kenya for warranty servicing;
• A detailed proforma invoice:
• At least three relevant references of similar goods and services performed with supporting docu­ments (contract excerpt, certificate of service, etc.)
