ATHI WATER WORKS DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (AWWDA) TENDER AUGUST 2021 

Invitation for Bids [IFB] Small Works 

(One-Envelope Bidding Process)

1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Nairobi Rivers Basin Rehabilitation and Restoration Program: Sewerage Improvement Project- Phase 2 (NaRSIP-II) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Rain Water Harvesting Activities: Supply and Installation of Water Tanks.
2. The Athi Water Works Development Agency, now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Rain Water Har­vesting Activities: Supply and Installation of Water Tanks.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (National), OCBN procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework of October 14,2015], and is open to all Kenyan Citizen eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document from Athi Water Works Development Agency, Athi Water Plaza, Muthaiga North Road, Off Kiambu Road during office hours [0800 to 1700 hours East African time] except public holidays or from AWWDA website: www.awwda.go.ke
5. The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Kshs 1000 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand Only). The bidding documents may also be downloaded from the AWWDA website: www.awwda.go.ke free of charge. Bidders who download the bidding documents from the website MUST forward their particulars immediately to procurement@awwda.go.ke for records and any further clarifica­tions and addenda.
6. Bids must be delivered to Athi Water works Development Agency Offices on or before 12.00pm East African Time on 8th September, 2021. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at 12.05pm East African Time on 8th September, 2021 at the address below.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a bid security (Unconditional Bank Guarantee) of KES. 500,000.00 (Kenya Shillings Five Hundred Thousand Only).
