CONSTRUCTION OF AUGMENTATION OF COMMUNITY WATER SUPPLY PROJECTS AND GROUNDWATER EXPLOITATION

ATHI WATER WORKS DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (AWWDA) TENDER AUGUST 2021 

AUGMENTATION OF COMMUNITY WATER SUPPLY PROJECTS AND GROUNDWATER EXPLOITATION WITHIN ATHI WATER WORKS DEVELOPMENT AGENCY AREA OF JURISDICTION.

1. The Government of Kenya through Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation has allocated funds to Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA) towards the cost of Augmentation of Community Water Supply Projects and Groundwater Exploitation within Athi Water Works Development Agency Area of Jurisdiction.
2. The Athi Water Works Development Agency now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders registered in Cate­gory NCA4 by the National Construction Authority for the construction of Augmentation of Community Water Supply Projects and Groundwater Exploitation within Athi Water Works Development Agency Area (“the Works)
3. The following are mandatory requirements that must be submitted together with the Bid document:

• Copy of Certificate of Registration as a Driller with the Ministry of Water & Sanitation and Irrigation,
• Certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation and a Valid Tax Compliance Certificate,
• Firm’s Audited Accounts for the last three (3) years,

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Athi Water Works Development Agency, Chief Executive Officer, info(S)awwda.go.ke and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from 0800 hours to 1700 Hours local time from Monday to Friday, except during lunch hour (1300 hours to 1400 hours), during weekends and public holidays at the address given below.
5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon pay­ment of a nonrefundable fee of Kshs. 1,000 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand). The method of payment will be cash or banker’s cheque. The documents may be collected by interested eligible bidders at the address below or can be downloaded from www.awwda.go.ke . www.tenders.go.ke and http://supplier.treasury.go.ke free of charge. Bidders who download the bidding document from the website MUST forward their particulars immediately to procurement@awwda.go.ke. for records and any further clarifications and addenda. 6. All bids must be accompanied by an unconditional Bid Security or from an insurance company registered by IRA and approved by PPRA, of Kshs. 500,000.00 (Kenya Shillings Five Hundred Thousand Only)
7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12:00pm East African Time on 31^st August 2021. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representa­tives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on 31st August 2021 East African Time.
8. Due to Covid-19 restrictions only one (1) representatives per firm will be allowed.
