REQUEST FOR BIDS

SUPPLY & DELIVERY OF THREE (3Nos.) HEAVY DUTY, UTILITY PASSENGER VEHICLES

  1. The Government of Kenya (GoK) has received Program Preparatory Advance (PPA)from the World Bank to­ward the cost of the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action Program (FLLoCA), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Supply & Delivery of Heavy Duty Utility Passenger Vehicles.
  2. The National Treasury (the Client), through the Program Implementation Unit now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply & Delivery of Heavy Duty Utility Passenger Vehicles as given below;

Heavy Duty Utility Passenger Vehicles 4×4, L.W.B.,2701-3000cc,Diesel.

Quantity Three (3No).

Bidders MUST quote for all the quantities. Bidders quoting for less quantities will be considered non-respon­sive and such bids will be rejected.

Bidders MUST demonstrate that they have successfully completed at least three contracts of similar goods in the past 3years by providing proof or completion certificates.

Final delivery point for the goods is at the Kenya Reinsurance Plaza, 7th Floor within 30 days or earlier following the date of contract effectiveness.

  1. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016 and revised in November 2017, August 2018 and November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  2. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from The National Treasury, Program Coordina­tor-Financing Locally-Led Climate Action Program and inspect the bidding document during office hours Monday to Friday 0900 to 1600 hours at the address given below.
  3. The bidding document in English language is available online and may be downloaded without any charge from www.treasury.go.ke/tenders.html by interested Bidders. Interested eligible bidders are requested to submit a written application with details of the Company Name, postal and physical address, email and con­tact telephone number(s) for purposes of registration to programcoordinator.piu@gmail.com or fllcoa.piu@gmail.com

This information will be used for submitting clarifications on the bidding documents and receiving of responses and/or addenda to the bidding documents.

  1. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Thursday 9th  December 2021 at 1100hrs East African Time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of Bidder’s or their designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below on Thursday 9th December 2021 at 1100hrs East African Time.
  2. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Kenya Shillings Three Hundred and Ninety Thousand (Kshs.390, 000) from a reputable financial institution in Kenya.
