- Purpose and Objective
The purpose of this Request for Quotation [RFQ] is to invite qualified vendors to submit a quote to Kimetrica LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Institutes for Research [AIR], for the supply of Six [6] Motorbikes, YAMAHA DT125 latest model OR an equal or greater performance quality model with proven availability of spare parts in South Sudan. The motorbikes will be used by Kimetrica’s research teams during data collection exercises. Subject to availability in the market, the preference will be given to motorbikes manufactured in the US.
This RFQ provides vendors with the relevant information for this procurement process.
- Specifications and Cost Breakdown
Specifications:
- Quote shall be marked with RFQ No. AIR/KIM/08/2022;
- The contracted agency must have valid trade license as well as all legal required registration;
- Quotation in United States Dollars [USD] inclusive of all costs but not limited to taxes, delivery, registration and any other duties and clearance;
- Payment terms-Specify when the payment for the supply is due
- References preferably of INGO clients based in Nairobi and South Sudan.
- Delivery timeline
- Warranty and after sales service.
- Information on the number of days for which the quote is valid.
Cost Breakdown:
Provide the following details:
- A detailed breakdown of price per model of motorbike quoted.
- The prices must include taxes, import duties and clearance, registration and all other costs attached to the delivery up to the client delivery point in Juba, South Sudan.
- Submission Requirements
Responses to the RFQ must be submitted as PDF file with prices quoted in United States Dollars [USD], by August 5th 2022. East African Time via email to tenderairkenya@air.org
- Evaluation Criteria
Submitted Quotations will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
1) Price: 50 %. In addition to the cost of products, the price must include but not limited to all taxes and fees.
2) Client References: 30%. Provide documented two or more client references of similar product provided.
3) Warranty and after sales service: 20%. Warranty details incase of defect noted as well as details on service after supply.
We will only review the vendors willing to honor quoted prices submitted through the RFQ process. Consideration will be made to the vendors who have demonstrated the ability to meet the requirements of the RFQ. Kimetrica LLC reserves the right to reject’ any or all quotations received as a result of the RFQ. Any procurement actions resulting from this RFQ process will be subject to AIDAR 752.225-70 – Source and nationality requirements and conditional upon USAID approval of the procurement.
