TANA WATER WORKS DEVELOPMENT AGENCY TENDER AUGUST 2022 
TENDERS AND REGISTRATION NOTICE NO. I OF FY 2022-2024
(i) Tana Water Works Development Agency (TWWDA), a Public Institution under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation, and
Irrigation invites applications for Tenders and Registration of Suppliers from any interested eligible bidders for the following:

B. REGISTRATION OF FIRMS

B2. Provision Of Services

B3. Works

(ii) Bidders who had participated and were successful in the previous FY2021-2023 Registration for any of the abovelisted categories are encouraged to bid for 2023-2024 as detailed in the documents.
(iii) Eligible bidders may obtain hard copies of the tender documents from TWWDA’s Supply Chain Office during
normal working hours {Monday to Friday (8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.) upon payment of a non -refundable fee of
Kshs.1000/-, Payable either through Account Name: TWWDA, Account No.1101998733 (KCB) or Mpesa Pay bill
No 221599, Account No: Name of the Company bidding;
(iv) Soft copies of a complete set of the tender documents (except for Ngariama Njukini which should be obtained from
TWWDA in form of a Compact Disc) and Pre-qualification documents containing all the requirements may be
obtained by interested candidates free of charge from Tana Water Works Development Agency (TWWDA);
(v) The documents can also be downloaded from TWWDA website www.tanawwda.go.ke or from the Public
Procurement Information Portal (PPIP): www.tenders.go.ke free of charge. Those who download the documents
and intend to submit them are required to submit their official business contacts to Tana Water Works Development
Agency for purposes of receiving further clarifications/or addendums if the need arises;
(vi) There will be MANDATORY Pre-tender site visits and meetings as described in Tender No.
TWWDA/T/001/2022-2023 (Construction of Ngariama Njukini Water Project) (Refer to Tender Data Sheet).
A whole set of this large tender document can only be obtained from TWWDA in form of a CD (Compact
Disc) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KES 1,000/- during the indicated working hours.
(vii) Applications for Tenders and Pre-qualifications must be submitted enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked with
the Tender/Pre-qualification name and reference number and deposited in the tender box located on the ground
floor, Tana Water Works Development Agency, P. O. Box 1292 – 10100 NYERI, Maji House, Baden Powell
Road, addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, so as to be received on or before Thursday, 22nd September 2022
at 10.00 am;
(viii) The Bids upon receipt SHALL be opened immediately thereafter on Thursday 22nd September 2022 in the
presence of the interested bidders;
(ix) Any bid/s received after the deadline indicated for receiving here above will be rejected;
(x) Any bidder/s who may be interested in viewing the events as they happen during the opening of the bids can do so
by visiting our website at www.tanawwda.go.ke where a live recording of the tenders opening event will be posted;
