INVITATION TO TENDER 
PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF MODERN SCIENCE LABORATORIES AT MASENO UNIVERSITY

TENDER NO. TENDER NO: MSU/T/025/2024-2025 
The Maseno University invites sealed tenders for Building Works for –Proposed Construction of a Modern Science Laboratories
1. Tendering will be conducted under national competitive bidding using a standardized tender document.
Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
2. Tenderers may obtain further information at the Maseno University during official working hours
(0800hrs-1300hrs & 1400hrs-1700hrs)
3. Tenderers may view and download a complete set of tender documents electronically from
www.tenders.go.ke or from The Institute website (www.maseno.ac.ke) free of charge
4. Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to
(po@maseno.ac.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
5. Tenders shall be quoted be in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for
150days from the date of opening of tenders.
6. All Tenders must be accompanied by a tender security of Kshs. 18,000,000.00 of the bid price, in
form of Banker’s cheque, bank or insurance guarantee valid for 30 days after the date of tender validity.
7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documentssubmitted.
8. There will be a pre-tender site visit on 9
th June, 2025. Tenderers shall assemble at Supply Chain Office Boardroom at 10.00am.

1. Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes (original and copy) marked
   with tender name and reference number and deposited in the tender box on or before 1100hrs on
   17th June, 2025. Opening of the tenders will be done immediately at Maseno University Supply Chain
   Management Boardroom.
2. Electronic tenders will be not be permitted.

3. Tenders will be publicly opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above in the
   presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend.

4. Late tenders will be rejected.
