TENDER NOTICE

The State Department for Labour and Skills Development invites sealed tenders from eligible bidders for
the tenders detailed below:

Qualified and interested eligible candidates may obtain further information and inspect the tender document at
the Supply Chain Management Office of the State Department for Labour and Skills Development located at
NSSF Building, Block A, Eastern Wing, 14th Floor during normal working hours.
A complete set of the tender document may be downloaded from the government tender portal www.tenders.
go.ke and the State Department’s website www.labour.go.ke for free. No tenders will be issued physically from
the State Department.
Prices quoted should include all taxes, must be expressed in Kenya shillings and shall remain valid for a period of
120 days from the closing date of the tender.
All tenders for security services shall be accompanied by a tender security as detailed in the tender document and
must be valid for a period of 150 days from the date of tender opening.
The tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender document submitted including their attachments/
testimonials.
Duly filled tender documents are to be tape bound and enclosed in a plain sealed envelope, marked with the tender
number and name and be deposited in the tender box marked “Ministry of Labour and Social Protection”
located at NSSF Building, Block A, Eastern Wing, 14th floor or be addressed and posted to:
Principal Secretary
State Department for Labour and Skills Development
P.O. Box 40326-00100 NAIROBI
So as to be received on or before Tuesday 28th February 2023 at 1000hrs.
Late tenders will be rejected.
Tenders will be opened immediately after the closing date and time in the presence of the tenderers and/or their
representatives who may choose to attend the opening at the Boardroom located at NSSF Building, Block A,
Eastern Wing 7th floor. Only one representative per tenderer shall be allowed to participate in the exercise in
compliance with MOH protocols in combating COVID 19 Pandemic.
During the tender opening, tenderers will be required to submit one (1) original hard copy of the duly filled tender
document clearly marked “ORIGINAL” and one (1) copy which should be a replica copy of the original clearly
marked “COPY”.
There will be mandatory pre-arranged pre-tender site visits as follows:
1. For Security Guard Services, all interested tenderers will converge at the 7th Floor boardroom, NSSF Building,
Block A, Eastern wing on Tuesday 21st February 2023 at 10:00a.m. and be directed accordingly.
2. For Cleaning Services, all interested tenderers will converge at the 7th Floor boardroom, NSSF Building,
Block A, Eastern wing on Wednesday 22nd February 2023 at 10:00a.m. and be directed accordingly
The Procuring Entity reserves the right to cancel the tender proceedings any time before notification of contract
award.
