THE YOUTH, WOMEN AND PERSONS LIVING WITH DISABILITY OWNED ENTERPRISES (AGPO) SENSITISATION ON 30% ALLOCATION AND 40% LOCALLY SOURCED GOODS AND SERVICES

HELB is a state-owned corporation established in 1995 by an Act of Parliament. In its mandate, HELB administers the student loan scheme. This entails disbursement of loans, scholarships and bursaries to Kenyan students. It’s also charged with loan recovery from past loanees. The board has the responsibility of establishing a revolving fund that would see it refinance itself from repayments and funds drawn from other sources.

In compliance with the statutory requirements to allocate 30% of the procurement budget to Youth, Women and Persons Living with Disability and 40% of the same to be dedicated to local goods and services, HELB will hold a webinar on 23rd June 2022 from 10:00am to 1:00pm and also publish information on its website on goods, services and works reserved for these special groups as follows:-

This aims to enhance awareness, building capacity, increase transparency and increase competition among the said special categories (AGPO).
